Ingredients

  • Long grain rice – 2 cups, washed properly
  • Coconut milk – 14 ounces
  • Water – 1 ½ cups
  • Granulated sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Kosher salt – 2 tsp
  • Toasted sesame seeds – for garnishing

How To Prepare

  • Take a large pot and add the rice, coconut milk, salt and sugar, and water. Put it on high heat. As the rice starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes so that all the rice become soft.
  • Switch off the heat and let it rest for around 10 minutes.
  • Pour a ladleful on a serving plate and garnish with toasted sesame seeds. It tastes excellent when hot.

A bowl of rice with a pleasant aroma will make you crave for another bowl. It is little sticky in texture.

Preparation time – 5 minutes

Cooking time – 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Lime juice – 2 tbsp, divided
  • Salt – as required
  • Basmati rice – 1 cup
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Cilantro – 1 tbsp, chopped

How To Prepare

  • Put a large saucepan on medium heat and add the butter. As the butter melts, add the rice followed by salt and half of the lime juice. Stir them well and pour water.
  • As the water starts to boil, reduce the heat, and cover the pan. Let it cook for around 25 minutes. Once al the rice become soft, switch off the heat.
  • Tip the chopped cilantro as well as leftover juice of lime. Mix with the rice and serve hot.

Cooking Recipes Rice With Broccoli And Shrimp

This rice bowl will give you a punch of flavors and taste. The tasty broccoli, delicious shrimp, and perfectly cooked rice give you a combination that is hard to resist.

Preparation time – 5 minutes

Cooking time – 15 minutes

Serving – 4

Ingredients

  • Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – ½ cup, low sodium
  • Lime juice – 2 tbsp
  • Instant rice – 2 cups
  • Red pepper flakes – 1 tsp
  • Florets of broccoli – 1 cup
  • Large shrimp – 1 pound, peeled and deveined
  • Sesame seeds – for garnishing
  • Foil pieces – 4

How To Prepare

  • At high, heat the grill.
  • Take a small bowl and mix soy sauce with lime juice, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar well.
  • In each foil, add rice, broccoli, shrimp and the marinade. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the top. Now fold it properly and close the edges so that the ingredients do not come out. Prepare the remaining foil pack like this.
  • Let them grill for about 15 minutes. Make sure the shrimp and broccoli florets are cooked to perfections.
